Job Description for Data Modeler:
Must have skills:Talent, Data Stage, Spark and Data Modelling (3NF, Dimensional Modelling, Data Vault)
Duties and Responsibility:
Minimum 4 years of Data Warehouse ETL design, development and maintenance with successful implementation of large Enterprise BI solutions
Minimum 4 years of hands-on development/maintenance experience with Talent, Data Stage, Spark and Modelling Skills
Translate business requirements into Detailed Data Requirements by performing source data profiling and requirement analysis
Demonstrated knowledge of database concepts of data modelling and mapping including normalisation, dimensionality, referential integrity, indexes, keys, common dimensions, star and snowflake schemas, master data and metadata
(MUST know how to read models and mappings)
Must be well versed with Data integration best practices, standards, and processes
Demonstrated sound understanding of development methodology
Experience data modelling along with design/enable/code/deliver against the business requirements
Work closely with Congo's report writers to ensure they understand the data and can deliver the reports the business is looking for Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise.
Proficient in Big data tools like Talent, Spark with an exposure to Data and Advanced Business Analytics
High proficiency writing SQL; Must be able to read and write, and optimise SQL
Hands on experience working on Windows and Linux environments and UNIX scripting
Must be self-starter and able to demonstrate experience working in an agile environment to deliver robust & well tested solutions
Strong interest in learning new technologies
Able to stay on mission some nights/weekends during Team Sprints and production support
Ability to integrate various data sources including Transactional databases, MS Excel, Web Services, Hive, No-SQL databases, and unstructured data sources
Demonstrated across numerous data warehousing / data integration projects the ability to work to with other project team members and business users to resolve moderately complex data integration issues.
Excellent communication skills and solution-oriented mind-set are key requirement for this role.
Candidate should be able to work independently with clients/ stakeholders and drive solutions from an end-to-end perspective.
