Job Description - Factory Manager

MANDATORY KEY REQUIREMENTS IN A CANDIDATE
- Male Candidate only
- 40-50 years old
- Designated as a Factory Manager & handling a factory independently for more than 10+ years
- Total Experience should be around 20 years
- From Industrial Bakery Domain, working in a Cake or Biscuit Bakery Company only
- Local Candidate near Dhulagarh, Howrah District would be preferred
- Qualification in Food Technology and Manufacturing Operations
Planning, managing, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations in the Sankrail plant and executing the same with an optimum utilization of available resources to exceed the internal customer's expectations. Responsible for planning all the production activities, production meetings, machine maintaining schedules, worker schedules and budget maintenance schedules
Responsible for maintaining a healthy organization culture through effective communication. Also set an inspirational tone for partners, vendors, internal clients, team members by role modeling and displaying DBPL Mission, Vision and Values in true sense
Manage, develop, coach, guide and motivate direct plant workers, and contract workers. Ensure good communication is given either verbally or in written to all the team members and workers at the plant regarding any updates, amendments related to process, policies, working conditions, etc.
Liaise with all the departments in the factory such as Finance department, HR for manpower planning, maintenance department regarding any break down of the line or machineries, smooth functioning of the production process. QAQC department regarding CCP controls, ensure the raw materials are in stock in liaise with the Store department and any other quality related issues and (PQI) product quality inspection
Test and monitor plant processes and trigger corrective actions. Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
Responsibility for production output, product quality and product readiness
Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
Share a trusting relationship with departments and teams. Recruit, manage and develop plant staff in the Production and Operations department
Control costs to achieve company budget goals. Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
Commit to plant safety procedures and all the SHE guidelines. Ensure safety and efficiency of the facility
Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
Stay completely involved in the Plant Disciplinary Proceedings and Grievance redressal and address worker's issues or grievances. Administer collective bargaining agreements if necessary
Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
Facing and coordinating all the internal and external regulatory audits of food safety like; ISO 22000:2005, FSSAI, HALAL, supplier audits, distributor audits, etc.
Support the HR Head and team in smoothly and effectively coordinating the various statutory audits for EPFO, ESIC, and inspections from Factory inspector and labor inspector
Prepare, analyze and issue production and performance reports
Monitor and verify all the administrative records related production and operations
Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program
Budgeting - consumable budget such as hygiene, PCI, manpower budget, production budget
Validate and prepare reports such as daily manpower report, production report, maintenance report, cost report, quality report, stock& inventory reports, etc.
Bachelor's /Master's degree in Food technology
10+ years of proven work experience as Factory Manager. Total experience around 20 years.
Industrial Bakery Domain (Baked food products only)
Extensive knowledge of bakery operations, processing, formulations, quality output and strong understanding of the principles of manufacturing, possessing management skills
Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources
Sound knowledge of safety related issues in compliance with Company's safety rules & regulations
The ability to create accountability and to lead. Also work closely in a team-based environment with all associates. Having strong leadership skills
Experience in manpower management and solid knowledge of Labor Relations
Proficient in use of company's ERP systems SAP and MS Office (Excel/ Word)
On-Call for emergencies 24/7 as required.
Proactive and problem solver with leadership quality and ability to work under pressure
0% Nonconformity during audit and closing of Nonconformance if identified during audit and minimization of errors to negligible limits
CTC - up to 12 LPA
Salary: INR 8,00,000 - 12,00,000 PA.
